Keys to Financial Freedom

Are you financially free?  What does that even mean? In my humble opinion, financial freedom is about being able to make the decisions that you want or are necessary without stressing.  Say for example, you want to make a career change, start a new business venture or take time off or travel for a year around the world, would you be able to do that?  Most people would say no.  Unfortunately, we are not taught how to become financially free.  We are taught to go to school, get a job, work for 40+ years and then retire.  At this point, most people are sick and tired and can’t do, physically, the things they dreamed of when they were younger.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with going to school and getting an education.  I did it and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I also know that some of the wealthiest people in the world did not get a formal education.  So whether or not you went to college or not, you can still achieve financial freedom and live a happy, healthy and abundant life.

Here are a few recommendations:

  1. Hire a fiduciary financial planner/advisor.
  2. Create a budget.
  3. Stop saving and start investing.
  4. Commit to learning something new everyday.
  5. Get out of debt.
  6. Stay out of debt.
  7. Pursue your passion and figure out a way to earn while you sleep.

While it’s true that money can’t buy you happiness.  It sure can make life easier.  As Suze Orman says, “A big part of financial freedom is having your heart and mind free from worry about the what-if’s of life”.

Believe me when I say that you were not born to just pay bills and die.  You can begin manifesting your epic life today.
