Let Go and Let God

There are going to be moments in your life that you just want to quit.  Throw in the towel and disappear from it all.  These are the moments we must cherish the most.  This is a sign that you’re at a crossroads and depending on the path that you choose, your life can remarkably change for the better.  If you make your decision based on love and the greater good for all, that’s always going to be the right choice even if you face struggles along the way.

I’ve learned not to make rash decisions.  I’ve learned the hard way.  I’ve learned to stop, take a deep breath, let a day or two go by and then ask myself, “What would Jesus or Ghandi or Mandela or Larry do?”  And then and only then do I take action.

Regardless of the situation, whether it be with a loved one, a friend, a coworker, a neighbor or an employee, there is growth in each and every challenge.  These challenges arise because sometimes we want to hold on to things that no longer serve us.  It is easier sometimes to hold on to people, places and things because of the familiarity and/or laziness.  This often happens in romantic relationships but also happen with friends, job, employees, etc.  So the universe throws a monkey wrench our way to wake us the hell up.

See this as an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves you and let the universe do its magic.  Open yourself up to new opportunities, new faces, new relationships and ultimately an extremely fulfilled life.

I read a quote today that said “don’t let your food get cold watching someone else’s plate”.  Focus on the good that you have but know that at times you do have to send the dish back and order something different.  I accept my life as it is but if I don’t like something I’m definitely going to change it.  Sometimes it’s taken me a bit longer than was necessary but eventually the change is made.  I don’t judge or create drama around the issue.  I welcome the lessons, learn from them and let go.
